AFI

Process

AFI is a decentralized effort in which our processing facilities are close to the actual growing areas of the diverse products that we handle. These facilities are BRC and/or HACCP compliant with complete traceability systems in place.
We operate 3 facilities in Lima, Chiclayo and Pichanaki.
Our state-of-the-art Lima facility is BRC “AA” Certified and dedicated exclusively to the processing of Andean Grains like quinoa, amaranth and chia.
Our bean processing facility is strategically located in Chiclayo, near the growing areas and the port of Paita in northern Peru. It is HACCP certified and can process a wide variety of beans.
Our Pichanaki facility is right in the heart of ginger production in Peru and takes care of all the handling, grading, drying, and slicing of our ginger.

Sourcing

We go wherever we can find the best quality of the products that we deal with and directly to the communities that grow and sell their produce. Avoiding intermediary traders is a great way to generate goodwill with growers and at the same time makes our supply chain so much more cost efficient.
